This series featured several stunts in which ordinary Australians were dared to do things they never thought they could, should or would do. Each episode would focus on one main dare, in the form of an elaborate stunt carried out under professional supervision, that would be attempted by an unsuspecting person ambushed by host Mike Whitney because they had been nominated by a friend, family member or work colleague to appear on the show, with much of the run time of the episode devoted to the contestant's training and preparation, witnessed by co-host Tania Zaetta. This main dare was bookended by several "street dares" in which Mike would travel to streets and shopping centres around Australia challenging people to complete tasks like getting all their hair shaved off or putting their hand into a container of cockroaches, with people who succeeded in these tasks winning A$50 cash.
